Paper No. 1: Allan K Davidson, 'Under the Eye of the Bishop', the College of St John the Evangelist and the Diocese of Auckland in Historical Perspective, the Lecture at the inaugural meeting of the Anglican Historical Society on 27 April, 1994. Paper No. 3: Ken Booth, A Footnote to Selwyn's Legacy: E H Strong & St John's College. In this paper Ken shares the treasures of Strong's unpublished typescript, 'Recollections of St John's College'. Although the existence of this manuscript was known when Allan Davidson wrote 'Selwyn's Legacy', its whereabouts were not. ($10) [order now -in very short supply]

Paper No. 4: Earle Howe, Caught in the Crossfire: A Revisionist Approach to Philo-Maori in New Zealand History, 1850-1870. In this paper Earle shares some of the findings from his Theol M thesis. ($10)

Paper No. 5: Mary Tagg, Te Ahiwera, A Man of Faith -The Life of Benjamin Y Ashwell, with his Recollections of a Waikato Missionary. Mary's biography of Ashwell together with his own writings make a fascinating contribution to our understanding of the missionary and NZ Wars period. ($15)
