PARISH OF WAIKANAE

PARISH OF WAIKANAE

2025 VICAR VACANCY

The Anglican Parish of Waikanae seeks to appoint a full-time vicar who offers Christcentred leadership, is committed to empowering our clergy, staff and laity, and who will  work with our community to further God’s kingdom.

Waikanae Parish has vibrant, faithful congregations in each of our three churches, all with their own strong and unique culture: St Andrew’s in Reikorangi, St Luke’s in central Waikanae and St Michael’s at Waikanae Beach.

We are looking for an experienced priest with wholehearted faith and good interpersonal skills to lead us as we grow our whānau and focus on God’s love in our local community,  and beyond.

Waikanae is on the Kāpiti Coast, an hour north of Wellington. It has excellent rail and road access to the city and is close to the Tararua mountain range for tramping and a beautiful safe river and beach for swimming. There are excellent schooling choices and a thriving local community with a good mix of young and old.

Further information, including the Waikanae Parish Profile, is available on our website www.anglican.co.nz. You can also learn more about parish life on our Facebook page facebook.com/waikanae.anglican.

If you are sensing a call to be our next vicar, please send a covering letter and CV to the Bishops’ Office (bishopsoffice@anglicanmovement.nz) by 30 November 2025
