Safeguarding Risk Manager

Safeguarding Risk Manager

Anglican Diocese of Waiapu Hawke's Bay, Napier

Compliance Full time

The Anglican Diocese of Waiapu stands for a church that is welcoming and inclusive of all, open, broad-based and ecumenical in its understanding of the Christian faith, committed to a ministry of all the baptised and committed to Tikanga Rua, a partnership with Māori built on justice and mutual respect.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Risk Manager to join our team in a full-time role.

The Diocesan Safeguarding Risk Manager will implement and monitor our compliance with our Safeguarding Policy, and other relevant policies in the Diocese. You will be responsible for administering the safety and well-being system that relates to this policy.

This is a newly created position, and you will have a key role in influencing the culture of safeguarding within the wider diocese. This role represents an opportunity to shape the way we work and build on the good things that are already happening. We are looking for someone who can apply strategic thinking to the development of a system that supports the delivery of the diocesan safeguarding vision and priorities. You will be a champion of best practice with a proven ability to facilitate and implement change.

Ideally this role will be located in Napier, however for the right applicant, there is the flexibility to work elsewhere within our Diocese.

Our ideal candidate is out there – you will have previous experience in safeguarding or risk management at a senior level and an interest in training and education of staff across an organisation.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
